Copying Content From Another Course Triggers Notifications for Existing Content

Description:
When an user copies an item into a course, this triggers notifications for previously created content within the same course.
Steps to Repeat:
  1. Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
  2. Create an Ultra course (Course A)
  3. Enroll an instructor
  4. Add any content to the course (e.g. documents, or assignment or a folder)
  5. Create another Ultra course (Course B)
  6. Enroll one student in the course and an instructor
  7. Set the course to unavailable
  8. Add an Assignment to the course
  9. Make all the content from Visible to students
  10. Make the course available
  11. Log in as the student created in Course B and check Activity Stream

Observed Behavior: 

Two notifications are sent to the student: 
  • New Course Available
  • Due notification for the assignment 
  1. As the instructor, create an Assignment in Course B and make it Available (Visible to students)
  2. Log in as the student and check Activity Stream

Observed Behavior:
There are four notifications for that student:
  • New Course Available
  • Due notification for the assignment
  • New Assignment Available
  • Due notification for the same assignment
  1. As the instructor in Course B, within the course click on the plus sign (+) at the center of the screen > Copy Content
  2. Select Course A  > Content > Select a single content > Click Start Copy (at the bottom left corner) 
  3. Keep the newly copied item Unavailable (Hidden from students)
  4. Log in as the student and check Activity Stream

Observed Behavior: 
In addition to the four notifications observed at step 13,  the student now also sees a 'New Assignment Added' notification (for the assignment created initially) and another notification of type 'New content has been added to your course'. 

Expected Behavior:
The student only sees the same four notifications.
