- Create an Ultra course (Course A)
- Enroll an instructor
- Add any content to the course (e.g. documents, or assignment or a folder)
- Create another Ultra course (Course B)
- Enroll one student in the course and an instructor
- Set the course to unavailable
- Add an Assignment to the course
- Make all the content from Visible to students
- Make the course available
- Log in as the student created in Course B and check Activity Stream
Observed Behavior: Two notifications are sent to the student:
- New Course Available
- Due notification for the assignment
- As the instructor, create an Assignment in Course B and make it Available (Visible to students)
- Log in as the student and check Activity Stream
Observed Behavior:There are four notifications for that student:
- New Course Available
- Due notification for the assignment
- New Assignment Available
- Due notification for the same assignment
- As the instructor in Course B, within the course click on the plus sign (+) at the center of the screen > Copy Content
- Select Course A > Content > Select a single content > Click Start Copy (at the bottom left corner)
- Keep the newly copied item Unavailable (Hidden from students)
- Log in as the student and check Activity Stream
Observed Behavior: In addition to the four notifications observed at step 13, the student now also sees a 'New Assignment Added' notification (for the assignment created initially) and another notification of type 'New content has been added to your course'.
Expected Behavior:The student only sees the same four notifications.
